Lake Erie Explosion Excited About Tryout Results
Lorain, OH-- On Sunday, December 6th the Lake Erie Explosion of the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) held its last of three free-agent player workouts of the 2020 season. There were some impressive performances on the day. More than 45 players answered the call to perform in front of the team personnel, to show their skills & techniques.
Former Walsh University defensive lineman Brandon Antal had an outstanding performance on the day. The former Cavalier turned in an impressive camp; the 6-foot-0 245-pound defender displayed elite athleticism, physicality and technical skills during 1-on-1 and 7-on-7 positional drills while running a 5.53 forty yard dash and showing his knowledge of the game.
Additional top performers included former Rorell Dickerson 5'11 185 pounds played for John Marshall high school of Cleveland Ohio a defensive corner back and former Bluffton University Zak Kempe also showing he has what it takes to earn a position on the team.“ This young core of talent on this team stood out and are looking to contend for a 2021 National Championship for this season and beyond and will be a force to deal with throughout many years to come”, said team administrator Mark Meschke.
The Lake Erie Explosion has closed their free-agent player tryouts for the winter but plan on having individual workouts and signings during OTA’S & practice sessions.
