GDFL West Coast will commence play in 2020

The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) is proud to announce the addition and partnership of the league’s newest team, the West Coast Lions.West Coast Lions was introduced to the Southern California minor professional league world on February 13, 2016, Gardena, CA. As members of the Silver State Football League (SSFL) and became the 2016 Spring Champions in their inaugural season. 

 “We are thrilled to announce the addition of the West Coast Lions to the GDFL. The Lions bring a strong winning tradition to the GDFL West Coast while solidifying our geographic footprint. We look forward to the intense rivalries that the Lions will bring to the GDFL and to a long and productive partnership with GDFL West Coast Brand,”stated GDFL Commissioner Bo Townsend. 

The  West Coast Lions 2019 LDFL runners-up will compete as new members in the GDFL’s 2020 season. The team will compete in the GDFL West Coast Western Region.
