Undefeated Metro Detroit Raiders Join GDFL

Detroit,Michigan-The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) is proud to announce the addition of the Metro Detroit Raiders."We are thrilled to announce the addition of another minor league champion,The Metro Detroit Raiders formally of the Great Lakes Football League has committed to the "League of Champions",stated GDFL Chief Executive Officer Charles  Thompson. 

The Raiders bring in a solid first year organization to the GDFL. The Raiders have solidified that they are a serious national contender. After beating crosstown rival Detroit Seminoles 24-14 on April 24 2019. The Seminoles have been around since 1994 with several championships to boast.With the emergence of the Raiders,there appears to be a new sheriff in town and it doesn't seem like they will be laying down anytime soon for anyone, said Raiders Head Coach, Darrell Demark Searcy.

The Raiders also defeat  Muskegon Mustang (12-0) another highly accomplished team in the Great Lakes Region in the 2019 GLFL Championship. We look forward to the intense rivalries the Metro Detroit Raiders (13-0) will bring to the GDFL and to a long and productive partnership with the players,coaches, owners and the fans.

The  2019 GLFL champions will compete as new members in the IFL's 2020 season. The team will compete in the Gabriel Richard Catholic High School Stadium.

The Metro Detroit Raiders are a minor league football team based in Detroit, Michigan. Beginning play in 2019, the Raiders are the Great Lakes Football League Champions (2019), before joining the GDFL. The Metro Detroit Raiders enter their second season of play in 2020.
