TAMPA BAY SET FOR GDFL PLAY IN 2017

Tampa Bay, FL – The Tampa Bay Warriors are proud to announce plans to join the (GDFL) for the 2017 season.In a statement made today, owner Alvin Walker announced their signing of a Letter of Intent to Join the Gridiron Developmental Football League for the upcoming 2017 season. The team, known as the Warriors, will be based out of Tampa Bay, Florida.

About the Owner:

Mr. Walker ran track professionally for Nike International he was also a former receiver on the  Dallas Cowboys practice squad in 1998 after brief stint he was released and had two other work outs for the New Orleans Saints and the Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL) eventually playing in Arena Football with the  Tampa Bay Storm (AFL). He played college football at Florida State University . Walker is among a select group of players who have not only played but has owned professional indoor franchise. 2008-2011, Florida Scorpions Indoor Football Club LLC (APFL) and in 2011-2013 he became the owner of the Cheyenne Warriors Professional Indoor football Team LLC of the (IFL) & (DIFL).

The announcement from the Warriors is the latest in a series of announcements planned in the upcoming weeks from the league office. The first GDFL league schedule is slated to be announced in the beginning of January. The GDFL is set for kickoff in May of 2017.
