Syracuse Strong Pulls Out the Win

Buffalo NY - The Syracuse Strong traveled to Buffalo, NY to battle the New York Falcons; and what a battle it was.

The Strong strikes first early with a 58 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Shakem Buckmon to wide receiver Joshua Thomas.

It wasn’t too long before the Strong struck again for the second time in the first quarter when Strong quarterback, Shakem Buckmon ran in a 7 yard touchdown on a quarterback keeper putting the Strong out front 12 zip.

In the early part of the second quarter the Falcons would battle back with a pass down the sideline for a touchdown making the score 12-6 in favor of the Strong.

The Strong would answer again. This time it was running back Rashad Burns connecting with wide receiver John Elliot on a 46 yard halfback pass, putting the Strong up 18-6.

Near the end of the second quarter Falcons quarterback’s pass into the end zone is intercepted by Strong defensive back Jeff McDuffie Jr., but after McDuffie comes down with the ball in the end zone, a battle for the ball happens after the fact, but it was called a touchdown for the Falcons, making the score 18 - 12 in favor of the Strong going into halftime.

In the top  of the fourth quarter Strong free safety Jeff McDuffie Jr. would get an interception and scamper for 66 yards before being tackled near the 7 yard line. A pass from Strong quarterback Shakem Buckmon is intercepted by the Falcons.

The Falcons went on to eventually score l, tying the game at 18 all.

The Syracuse Strong would find fortune in its second to last possession of the game when after driving the field, Strong back up quarterback Aaron Smith punches in a 2 yard touchdown run and the Strong pulls back in front 24-18.

The Strong would force yet another turnover, but this time keeping possession.

The Syracuse Strong came out with a 24-18 victory.
