Syracuse Strong Closes it’s 2022 Season with Convincing Win

Rochester, NY - The Syracuse Strong traveled to Rochester (NY) to take in the Charlotte Colonials for the last game of the Strong’s 2022 campaign.

The Strong would strike first with a 28 yard touchdown pass from Quarterback Shakem Buckmon to Wide Receiver John Elliot, followed by an extra point to give the Strong a 7-0 lead.

The Colonials would strike next with a touchdown pass of their own bring the score to 7-6 in favor of the Strong; but the Running Back Rashad Burns happened,  increasing his touchdown tally in the ground. Syracuse is up 13-6 going into the half.

Wide Receiver John Elliot shows up again in the 3rd quarter with a 40 yard touchdown reception from Shakem Buckmon. 40 yard passes must have been the order of the day, because Running Back Rashad Burns tossed a 40 yard bomb to Wide Receiver Aaron Smith for yet another touchdown bringing the score to 26-6.

Rashad Burns had Player of the Game honors with 15 Carries for 108 yards and the aforementioned 40 yard touchdown pass.
