Strong too much for the Wolverines.

by Gridiron Media

Buffalo, NY - The Buffalo Wolverines had a tough opening week falling to the Syracuse Strong 56 - 0.

The Strong defense was overwhelming for the Wolverines, scoring an early 2 point via a safety, but the story of the night was #8. 2021 GDFL leading rusher, Rashad Burns, was at it again accumulating 122 yards on the ground and pounding in an astounding 4…that’s right…4 touchdowns. Wide Receiver, John Elliot also saw the end zone on a touchdown pass from QB, Sean Johnson.

The Syracuse Strong defense, led by Defensive End Ronald Pierce Jr. forced two fumbles and put up two additional touchdowns, including a pick 6 by Linebacker EJ Maeweather.

Next up, the Syracuse Strong will host Eastern Xtreme East Division rivals, the Upstate Predators.
