Smash to kick off 2019 Season,This Weekend!!!

The 2019 GDFL season will be the 10th season of the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL). The season will begin on April 27, 2019 with the GDFL Kickoff Game with the West Virginia Smash (GDFL)of Morgantown,West Virginia  hosting non-league opponent the West Virginia Black Knights out of Dunbar. The season will conclude with Gridiron Bowl X, the league's championship game, scheduled for August 17,2019.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us," said James Clark. "It gives us great visibility at the very outset of the 2019 season. Considering the teams went head-to-head earlier this month in preseason, this is a highly anticipated match–the first rematch as a season kickoff game and the Black Knights have revenge on their minds, after losing in preseason in front of their home crowd. This time it will count so hopefully both teams have made the necessary adjustments and are ready to showcase as they officially open the GDFL 2019 season!!!!
