Sabers grind out a tough win vs Royals

Tacoma,WA-Tacoma Sabers came into the game down a few starters on their offensive line due to injuries and had to rely on some rookie back-ups to get the win on Saturday against the Royals.

The Sabers took an early lead in the first quarter QB Gavin Vradenburg (#10) for the Touchdown to WR Joey Peterson (#12) the Sabers felt the the Pacific Northwest Weather with a constant rain the entire game as the Royals answered back with 2 40 yard field goals before Halftime.   

In the Second Half, CB  D.J (Quan) Blackburn (#6) gets an interception and took it to the house to put the Sabers up 14-6. 

In the 4th Quarter FS Braeden (#1) Potter gets an interception to get the ball back for the Sabers. The team then leaned on workhorse RB Stephan “Juice” Branham (#8) to ice the game with multiple big runs to kill clock and solidify the W.. 

The Sabers look to come back stronger on the road next Saturday against the Grit City Knights. Kick off is at 7pm @ Stadium Highschool in Tacoma, Wa.
