ROYALS DEFEAT ALASKAN CHAMPIONS IN OVERTIME

Everett, Washington-The Everett Royals (GDFL)defeated the East Anchorage Chargers the 2021 Alaskan Champions (LFFL) in an entertaining preseason match-up in the great state of Washington, home of the NFL’s  Seattle Seahawks. The score was tied 20-20 as the clock hit double zero.

In overtime East Anchorage won the toss and received the ball first. But failed to score. The Royals then took over on downs and move into field goal territory. As their kicker Wyatt Paul punched the ball through the uprights from 30 yards away. Giving the Royals a well deserved victory 23-20.  

We the GDFL would like to congratulate the Royals and    Thank the East Anchorage Chargers on representing the great state of Alaska in a hard fought battle on the gridiron.
