Roadrunners outlast Senate to stay undefeated

Prescott,Arizona-The Arizona Roadrunners walk off the field with another win after a neck to neck game versus the Salt Lake Senate. The Roadrunners and Senate first faced one another on May 28 where the Roadrunners took the win 38-14.

With a lot of turnovers in possession and a tough fight from both teams the score ended 22-20 to the Roadrunners. After two turnovers in the first quarter, the Roadrunners pulled out a touchdown and 2 point conversion to bring the score to 8-0 heading into half time. 

The Senate brought the fire in the second half, quickly bringing the score to 8-6. With each respective possession, the Senate scored another 2 touchdowns and one 2 point conversion and the Roadrunners scored one more touchdown with a 2 point conversion, bringing the score to a nail biting 16-20.

With the Prescott home crowd chanting “defense” with all their heart, the Roadrunners got the ball back to get another attempt at scoring a touchdown. With less than 6 minutes left in the game, tight end, Ulysses Sorey received a last minute pass from QB Kordell Provchy, scoring the final and winning touchdown bringing the final score to 22-20.
