Road Warriors Face Blast in Home Opener

by Gridiron Media

Memphis,TN-Memphis Blast (1-0) ready to prove they belong on the National stage over the past two years the Blast have struggled badly. With a pandemic that has impacted the organization which did not play in 2020 due to league protocols.

“The Blast lost several veterans to spring organizations, who start in early February and March. Which has definitely had an impact on player retention. Also with a influx of teams in the Mid-South region that has definitely made recruiting tougher,”stated General Manager Raven Moore”.

However the Blast did have some success in 2021 finishing at .500! The Blast open up at home against a major rival this Saturday against The Mississippi Roadwarriors who the Blast have never beaten. But have played to the wire. Can the Memphis Blast reclaim its Glory years? The Blast have a lot of new faces and young talent but only time will tell.

The spring season has caused lots of delays in the Southern Region for the GDFL Something we will have to focus on in the off season going into the 2023 season.
