Football fans were in for a treat as the Everett Royals pulled off a last second win against the Spokane Wolfpack. Down 18-13 with only 5 seconds remaining in the game, Quarterback Braydon Counsellor scrambled into the endzone to put the Royals up 19-18 as the game ended.
Braydon Counsellor joined the Royals at midseason and has been steadily making an impact each game. With Quarterback Terrance Allen going down earlier in the game with an injury, Counsellor stepped up and help orchestrate an amazing fourth quarter comeback.

The Royals also saw a big game from Wide Receiver Marques Smith, who kept the winning drive going with an amazing catch and run on fourth down.

The Royals also used a seven-man rotation on the offensive line to maintain strong pass protection and run blocking.
“This was a game where everybody stepped up and delivered” Offensive Coordinator Joshua Horton said to describe the team effort.
The Everett Royals defense had another strong showing and had crucial stops to give the offense scoring opportunities.
Defensive Tackle Peter Transon anchored the middle of the Defensive Line and came up with two sacks in the game. Linebacker Cori Cunningham who has missed a lot of time due to injury was also a key asset to the defense. With the win the Everett Royals close out their 2022 season, however, Royals players will still be active over the next few months.
11 players from the Everett Royals have been selected to go to Las Vegas to play in the GDFL Pro-Bowl on September 3rd.
