Tacoma Washington-Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest and the West Sound Rebels stayed red hot in this contest winning 60-12. The overwhelming and relentless defense set the tone for the entire game by not allowing anything downfield. The offense kept rolling and turned this game into a track meet that the Knights couldn’t keep up with.

The Rebels Gun Slinger continues to shread defenses throwing for 5 more touchdowns. (that’s 18 TDs in 4 games) 4 of which went to wide receiver Thomas Alston. (Alston would finish the game with 6 rec 106 yards as well). Also, noteworthy Kofi Goseer Jr added another touchdown to his season total. Now the top 3 Rebel wide receivers all have 5 touchdowns.

The Rebels were at it again on defense sacking the Knights quarterback several times and forcing him to hurry many throws which let to Rebel interceptions. Leading the way in the secondary was Thomas Alston and Kody Martinez. Kody adding another “cookie” to his season total making that a GDFL leading 6 interceptions. (Kody Martinez would later exit with what appears to be a broken wrist. His return is questionable.)

Thomas Alston added to his video game like stat sheet by hauling in 3 interceptions, one of which he made a spectacular return for a touchdown. Tyquan Bowie would add another Pick Six from his linebacker position. (Bowie also rushed for another touchdown.)

Surprise of the game was youngster Isaiah Miller, logging in some quality play at cornerback. He was fast, he was strong, and he was disruptive. Miller 23 was forced into action due to an injury in the secondary, where he would have several pass defenses, and 2 very near interceptions.

Next up for the Knights is a battle with the Tacoma Sabers. For the Rebels it’s the much-anticipated sequel with the Washington Warriors. Both teams are currently in the top 6 of the GDFL power rankings.
