Preview:Rebels vs Knights

Tacoma Washington-In this final game of the GDFL regular season the West Sound Rebels will travel to Silas High School to take on the Grit City Knights. Both teams have already secured playoff spots, but the Rebels could lock up the #2 seed with a win.

The Rebels offense was on fire last week and will look to keep GDFL Offensive Player of the Year JT Taase locked in as it prepares for their first round of the playoffs. The rushing game has been amazing all season as well and will look to build on their momentum. With this offense rolling in the right direction, they’re going to be very difficult to defend. 

The Rebel’s Defense has been one of the stingiest all year in the GDFL. They will look to lean on Defensive Coordinator Sam Smith to continue his on point game planning, and near flawless execution by his players. This defense is no joke and ready to face whatever opponent is placed in front of them.

Also noteworthy is the Rebels Placekicker/Punter Vernon Parker. He can put every kickoff into the end zone, punt the ball with 5 second hang time, and kick 50+ yard field goals in his sleep. Vernon was named to the All-Pro Team this season as well. In all the Rebels have 16 athletes representing their organization in the All-Pro game. 

Very impressive for a first-year organization. Saturday, 8/6, at 6pm, at Silas High School come watch this final regular season game. It should be very entertaining.
