June 5th Upstate Predators traveled to Utica to face off Utica Nighthawks in their season opener of the GDFL !

First quarter action QB Willie Fair III finds Jaquan Gilbert for a 43 yard bomb TD. (Conversion 2 pts failed) 

In the second quarter Fair will scramble around a blitzing Utica defense and finds Jonathon Jones for a 25 yard post route in coverage and a great catch in the end zone ! (Conversion 2 pts failed) 

After the halftime break Fair III will get on the stat sheet yet again finding Jarrett Osterhout for a wide open 45 yard TD. Fair III will end the game going 5/9 141 and 3 TD’s. Defense holds strong yet again only giving up 6 points for the season in 3 games!

Defense led by Deanthony Thomas with 5 solo tackles , 3 Assisted tackles ,1 sack and a forced fumble , Cheagan Wilson with 3 solo tackles 3 assisted tackles , 2 TFL. 

Next week the Predators head away again to Kutztown in what will be one of the most exciting games of the season vs one of the GDFL’s premier teams the East Penn Raiders. 7 PM Kutztown University.
