Playoff Preview:THE GAME THAT NEVER HAPPENED, IS FINALLY ABOUT TO HAPPEN

by Gridiron Media

Syracuse,New York-“We’ve been waiting to play this game since 2017,” says Khalid Bey, owner of the Syracuse Strong.

In 2017, the Baltimore Lightning had just sold its rights to the Arena Football League (AFL) to Monumental Sports & Entertainment (owners of the Wizards and Capitals) who then went on to create the Baltimore Brigade.

After that, the Lightning was set up to play National games.  One in particular was against the Syracuse Strong.

“We wanted to play Syracuse then because we were a new team and wanted to make a splash on the national scene.  They were one of the best run organizations in the country and we wanted that.” -Will Hanna, President/GM of the Baltimore Lightning

A game between the teams was scheduled and never was played.  But this weekend, the teams will meet in the first round of the GDFL NATIONAL PLAYOFFS, in Syracuse.

“This time, it’s not just a game, it’s THE game.  Should be a good one.” Hanna adds.

Syracuse (7-1) and winners of the Xtreme East Northern Division, and one of the highest scoring teams in the country at 35.8 points per game will face a (5-3) Baltimore defense that gave up less than 9 points a game during the regular season.
