Outlaws tame Grizzlies GDFL Game Recap
Clarksville,Tennessee-Dominque White puts up a modest performance as Outlaws dust Grizzlies. White toyed with the Grizzlies ' defense from the start with his arm and legs. The QB could do no wrong early, guiding the Outlaws to consecutive straight TD drives to blow the game open before the break.
White was patient in the pocket, taking his time to find open receivers. That part of his game -- not taking off at the first sign of trouble -- makes White very dangerous. The Outlaws saw big play after big play.
In the first half alone, Outlaws generated six plays of 20-plus yards, including nine White completions.
Then, the Outlaws opened the the second quarter with an 74-yard catch-and-run from Tyran Moore.
The long play was set up by Grizzlies Defense accounting for Greg Hancock running ability who had just 6 carries for 104 yards.
White took advantage, buying time in the pocket, finding creases to scamper for first downs and making beautiful throws on the move. When white plays well like he did on Saturday, the Outlaws can outlast anyone.
Outlaws defenders dominated the trenches allowing a total of just 56 total yards for the Grizzlies. The Outlaws made a 3-3 team look like a 1-5 operation by demolishing the Grizzlies up front.
On defense, the Outlaws swarmed, clogging the lanes and making life difficult on Peoples with a smorgasbord of stunts and blitzes. Star defensive tackle Jeff Taua’i showed once again why he is one of the premier defensive lineman in the league finishing the game with 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. Accente Hill also accounted for 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.
Defensive Back Kali Perkins added to the scoring with a pick 6 as the Outlaws remained 1 of 3 teams that still undefeated in GDFL League play.
