Outlaws Dominate Early, Weather Seals Win Over Mississippi Dawgs

Clarksville, Tennessee-The Tri-City Outlaws wasted no time making a statement in their second game of the season, opening with a sharp seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive that ended in the end zone—marking the second straight week they’ve scored on their first possession in under five minutes. The Mississippi Dawgs, on the other hand, gave up a touchdown on the opening drive for the second time this season.

Running back Darius Mitchell continues to prove he’s the engine of the Outlaws’ offense. He racked up 95 yards and a touchdown on just four carries, averaging an eye-popping 23.75 yards per carry. His 75-yard sprint to the house in the second quarter was the highlight of the day.

The scoring started early. In the first quarter, quarterback Dominique White connected with Antonio Turner on a 35-yard touchdown, then punched in the two-point conversion himself to put Tri-City up 8-0. Mitchell’s long touchdown run and another successful two-point try made it 16-0 early in the second.

The Outlaws’ defense got in on the action too. Defensive end Davaunte Homer forced a fumble near midfield, and Joseph Weston scooped it up and returned it 45 yards for the score. Though the PAT failed, the Outlaws went into halftime firmly in control at 22-0.

The third quarter saw both teams trading punches, but time kept slipping away. And just like last week, Mother Nature stepped in during the fourth quarter. Under league rules, if a game is called in the second half due to weather, the team in the lead gets the win. That ruling went in favor of Tri-City Outlaws .

Final result: Outlaws win 22-0, staying perfect on the season and proving once again they’re a team built to strike early—and hard.
