Ohio Broncos Enter GDFL Set Sights On New Chapter
Akron, OH-Beginning this Summer 2021, the Gridiron Developmental Football League will welcome the Ohio Broncos to its Xtreme Conference – Located in the Northeast region of Akron, Ohio (co-owned by Jimmy Melton & Charles Portman).
The. Broncos where established in 2015. They have Established a winning tradition with 2 Division titles, 1-1 in Conference title games and a league runners -up in 2017.
Owners Jimmy Melton and Charles Portman took last couple of seasons off to coach the North East Ohio Silverbacks helping them win the PAFL Tier 2 2019 Championship before deciding to come back in 2021
We are very excited to be a part of the GDFL. It’s a very competitive league with great teams, and outstanding players, I am thrilled to be among the great ownership groups they have throughout the league and we will be ready to compete in 2021,” stated Melton of the Ohio Broncos.
