Akron,OH-Akron,OH-With a new league (GDFL) and a bigger target after winning a championship comes new challenges.

The North East Ohio Silverbacks are pleased to announce that QB/WR Marquelo Suel has committed and will be joining the Jungle in 2020 and will be competing for a starting role.

Marquelo is a 2x All-Pro selection on the minor league level and is a certified GDFL Next Level Pro-Prospect. Interested pro teams from Arena to the NFL are encouraged to contact us for film, stats or tryout information. Our goal is to give every player that meets the strict GDFL guidelines as a pro prospect, every opportunity to elevate their game to the next level.

Red-shirt Junior (2011): Played in nine games and was selected as a starter six times ... did not play against VMI (Sept.24), at Eastern Michigan (Oct. 1) and FIU (Oct. 8) due to injury... finished the season ranked second on the squad in receiving,with 34 catches for 417 yards (12.3 yards per catch) and four touchdowns... had 11 receptions for 112 yards and two TDs versus Central Michigan (Oct. 29) ... caught one touchdown pass against Ohio (Oct. 22) and at Buffalo (Nov. 19) ... tallied 87 receiving yards (four catches) in the Buffalo game and 54 yards (six catches)in the contest with Ohio.



Junior (2010): Utilized his redshirt season.

at Allan Hancock CC: Posted 36 receptions for 626 yards and four touchdowns as a freshman ... hauled in 56 receptionsfor 800 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore.

at Paul Harding HS: All-state selection as a quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back in 2007 ... rushedfor over 600 yards, passed for over 500 and added 500 yards receiving ... also earned all-area and all-conference accolades andwas named the team’s most valuable player ... rated the 18th-best prospect in the state of Indiana by Scout.com ... PrepStar All-Midwest Region selection ... hauled in 50 receptions for959 yards (19.2 average) and 12 touchdowns as Harding won the Class 2A state title in 2006 ... also recorded 80 tackles, three sacksand three interceptions ... earned all-conference honors ...three-year varsity letterwinner in football with two letters apiecein basketball and track.

Personal: Born June 6, 1989 ... son of Patrica Suel ... has four siblings, Marquee, Tony, Tra and Anora ...originally signed with Indiana in 2008.
