Mr. George W. Burch III appointed Vice President (VP) of Business Development

Memphis,Tenn-The Gridiron Pro-Developmental Football League is pleased to announce Mr. George W. Burch III has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Business Development & Strategic Planning. This newly developed position will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer, Tracey Hardney Scott.

Mr. Burch’s primary role will be to work with senior management towards fostering better business success for the league. George will assist in day-to-day football operations, and assist in building relationships with league owners, presidents, and executives. 

George previously held the office of commissioner for the 2018-2019 GDFL season. Succeeding Commissioner Devin Richardson, of the Crescent City Kings. George has been a member of the GDFL family since its inception. He and his partner Chris Ward started the Georgia Crush Football Organization in 2008 as a community outreach program designed to develop young men in Central Georgia. To date, the program has helped over 22 young men join colleges or sign arena deals.

George is a graduate of Fort Valley State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 2001. In 2006, George earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan College. George is employed by Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) where he currently holds the position of Liability Claims Supervisor. He has been employed there for the past 18 years.

George was born to George W. Burch Jr. and Velma H. Burch, He and wife Rhonda have three beautiful children: George IV, Zamaria and Zaye.

In his spare time George enjoys spending time with family and friends, teaching financial literacy classes to children in foster care, coaching High School Football and playing golf. George is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
