Mississippi Landsharks Join the Gridiron Developmental Football League

Tupelo, MS — The Gridiron Pro Developmental Football League (GDFL) is proud to announce the addition of the Mississippi Landsharks Pro Developmental Football Team to its ranks.

The Landsharks will compete in the GDFL South Impact Division, joining established programs such as the Tennessee Vikings (Memphis, TN), Pine Bluff Saints (AR), Arkansas Punishers, and Arkansas Kings.

Team Owner Mark Lee shared his excitement about the move:

“We will be playing quality opponents who are within a reasonable footprint of Tupelo. We are excited to be joining the number one premier league in the country. The idea is to come here to play for a National Title. Going through a structured playoff system and reaching the top of the mountain — a National Championship — is tough, but that is our goal.”

Lee emphasized that the GDFL offers a high level of competition each week, noting that the Landsharks are eager to embrace the challenge.

“We will be facing the top teams in the country from around the state and region, and there are no subpar teams. We look forward to facing strong organizations week in and week out. Every game is like a playoff game, and the level of competition will test us every week. It won’t be easy, but we are up for the challenge.”

The Landsharks’ entry into the GDFL further strengthens the league’s southern footprint and reinforces its reputation as the nation’s premier developmental football league.
