Medieval matchup Grit City Knights vs West Sound Rebels

Tacoma Washington-We’ve got a potential Medieval matchup for you this week 5. The Grit City Knights will look to continue their winning momentum into Stadium high school to take on the #3 and unbeaten West Sound Rebels. Both teams desperately need to walk away from this contest with the Win.

The Knights are coming off a huge win over the battle tested Everett Royals. The Royals put up a good fight, but it was several big plays on both sides of the ball that led the Knights to victory. The Knights now 1-2 on the season are very excited and motivated for this upcoming match up.

The Rebels continued their scoring onslaught against the #6 Tacoma Sabers outscoring them 46-8. Explosive plays by JT Taase, and Cory Klingberg and a rushing attack who’ve amassed over 200 yards in back-to-back games can attribute to their high scoring. “The Thunder & Lightning” duo of Grier and Bowie has become quite formidable.

The Rebel’s defense has only allowed 29 points thru 3 games. Largely in part to their constant pressure on the quarterback creating several sacks on the year. Plus, the many “Cookies” (as DC Coach Smith) calls interceptions that the secondary have made. Most on the team and leading the entire GDFL, Kody Martinez has 5 “cookies” on the year. All while their linebacker core including, Mark Tagaleoo, David Sousou, and Michael Shannon continue to make the middle of the field a NO PASSING ZONE. And punishing anyone brave enough to step foot in their playground.
