MCFL Champions Englewood Birdgang of Chicago, Illinois enter the GDFL!

Chicago,IL-The GDFL is proud to welcome the Englewood BirdGang of Chicago, Illinois who was formed in 2022. The team name might not have an expansive history but the people who created the team certainly do. Owners Maino Erving, Joe Gita, Duan Cain all have had a strong presence within the Chicago Minor League Landscape.

Leading Championship programs in the past like the Chi City Ducks, and the Chicago Cardinals. The common interests goes beyond football; as all 3 were born and raised in the Englewood and South Side neighborhoods.

Having lived through the obstacles that the inner city can present; they share a common passion for providing the local community an opportunity to engage in something positive. Englewood Birdgang provides a fun; competitive, and safe alternative to the young adults in Chicago Land area who can benefit greatly from experiencing a team atmosphere and positive male role models.

On the field; BirdGang has quickly proven to be a  Powerhouse. Since there short existence the have been very successful winners of 1 League Championship along with 1 National Bowl Game victory in a 2 year span has garnered National Recognition for the Chicago based team; currently  ranked top 10 in the nation across several Bowl publications. The Englewood Birdgang is becoming recognized as a a force and has finally made the the decision to join forces with the GDFL!  The #1 Developmental Football League in the country.
