by GRIDIRON MEDIA

Silverdale, Washington- The Gridiron Developmental Football League is pleased to announce another addition to our western time zone.

The Kitsap Bears of Silverdale, Washington who are just about 1 hour 15 mins from the NFL franchise Seattle Seahawks, the Bears are another great football organization out of the great state of Washington.

In 2011 the Kitsap Bears earned themselves a PFL title finishing their season at 13-1. It's been 10 season since the Bears were able to call themselves champions.

But now they have high expectations as they have joined the # 1 premier developmental football league in the country.

The Bears are the newest members of the "League of Champions", the (GDFL) and now have a second opportunity to earn another title which is not out of the question, in their 2020 inaugural season as the newest members of the nationally recognized the Gridiron Developmental Football League.

Flashback: Quarterback Ken Jackson threw three touchdowns, running back Nathan Proctor added another score and Kitsap's defense recorded three interceptions and six sacks as the Bears beat the Southern Oregon Renegades 28-14 to win the inaugural Pacific Football League title Saturday night at Silverdale Stadium.

"I've played on so many teams and got so used to coming in second or coming close, it's a great feeling," said Kitsap former Owner Don Purser.

Under New Management

Incoming Owner Dave Baxter stated, "We are striving to be the best organization in the GDFL, to present our players with a platform to compete at the highest level of competition. With the support of our community we are able to challenge the players to grow not only athletically on the field but as leaders in the community".

The Bears players are the elite of Washington and the program will excel due to a great coaching staff.

The Kitsap Bears Head Coach Aaron Rambo who was the 2018 offensive coordinator of the Seattle Mist football organization of the Legends of Football (LFL) Womens pro football, he also was an assistant coach at Snow College in Utah.

Coach Aaron Rambo has a decade of experience and brings structure, discipline, and a developmental program for players to thrive in.

With the help of his defensive coordinator “the Einstein of Defense,” Coach Eric Bellamy. Coach Bellamy who it is said, can pick apart any offense he comes across. He is charged with developing the players strength and conditioning.

The Bears are also bringing on board secondary Coach Ron Atkins, who happens to be nationally ranked as one of the fastest men over forty. Add in Bears Linebacker Coach Tutu Tamaalevea who has developed some of the meanest hardest hitting linebackers in the PFL league.

Last but not least Coach Rodney Coe who played defensive tackle formerly of the Seattle Seahawks will be working with the defensive line bringing his experience from the league (NFL) to the develop players.

The Bears have a very impressive group of coaches, Head Coach Aaron Rambo is demanding a lot out of his assistants and as a result, he has put together the brightest and hardest-working individuals that he could find. The result could pay-off as his team prepares for the 2020 GDFL season.
