Jackson Stampede Set to Enter Fifth Season in the GDFLJackson, Tenn. – The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) is proud to announce that the Jackson Stampede will return for their fifth season as part of the upcoming 2026 Spring campaign. Representing the Hub City, the Stampede have built a reputation for showcasing local talent from Jackson and surrounding areas, including former Liberty standouts Devin and Stevie Bush and former South Gibson running back Tyler Dysart.
The team was by led by former co-owners Jamie Crite and Joey Haynes, who took pride not only in the Stampede’s on-field success but also in the positive impact the organization has made off the field over the recent years.
“We’ve sent a player to Tennessee State, had guys walk on at Memphis, and even prepared players for service in the United States Marine Corps,” said Haynes. “It’s bigger than football—it’s about building futures.”

New owner
Shervon Maclin echoed that commitment, emphasizing the Stampede’s mission to continue creating opportunities for athletes in Jackson.
“We still have the same goals as before,” Maclin explained. “We’re here for the long haul to give young men in Jackson a chance to pursue their dreams—or a second chance if they missed out the first time.”
The GDFL is excited to see the Stampede continue to grow as they enter their fifth season, adding another strong franchise to the league’s 2026 spring roster.
