Gordon and Wright lead Inglewood to 38-0 Victory over Santa Clarita in Week 1

SANTA CLARITA,CA-The Inglewood Blackhawks raced out to a 26-0 halftime lead and cruised to a dominating 38-0 victory over the Santa Clarita Tigers in week one of the 2022 GDFL season. 

RB Kendall Gordon had 123 all-purpose yards and 1 TD to lead a very potent offense. Inglewood used a QB duo of Mykel Polk and Jimmy Do who both played lights out for the Blackhawks and catapulted Inglewood to a 1-0 record.

Do had two touchdown passes while Polk had one. WR Justin Sydney led all receivers with 4 receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown. WR D.J. Carter had a touchdown reception as well.

On defense there were a plethora of players who showed dominance in week one with former Cincinnati Bengals DB T.J. Wright showing why he's a former NFL player. 

Wright had two touchdowns on the day with one coming on a 45 yard pick-six while the other coming on a comical fumble recovery which started with him then being fumbled around only for it to be picked back up by Wright who took it the last 50 yards of a 97 yard return.
DE Kenny Ware looked amazing locking in 2 sacks while DT A.J. Sautia and LB Chris Benson shared in having multiple sacks and some great big hits on the night. DB Mark English contributed to the dominance with an interception to his credit as well.

Inglewood moves to 1-0 on the season and will host the So. Cal Coyotes this Saturday at 6PM at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
