GDFL TOP 10 WEEK 4

Memphis, Tenn - The Gridiron Developmental Football League has released the latest Top 10 rankings after Week 4. The rankings were released by the league office and were posted for the public by Gridiron Media. The top spot remain unchanged as the Oklahoma Thunder retain their spot atop the league with a well talked about Alabama Sabers riding their heels at No. 2. The Thunder shutout the Lee County Ticats out of Tupelo, MS 43-0 in week 3 as they headed into a bye week while the Alabama Sabers laid the boom, 45-0, on the East Alabama Predators of Opelika, AL. However there was movement at the bottom.Falling from the rankings were the #6 Missouri Valley Pitbulls and #8 Tampa Bay Warriors.

Most teams in the GDFL will have a bye week for the Independence Day weekend. There will be some games across the league as there must be games made up from weather postponements. The GDFL requires all teams to play a minimum of 8 games to be eligible for the playoffs so the playing of rescheduled games could hold more importance than it may appear on the surface.

Below are the current rankings from Week 4 action.


#1 Oklahoma Thunder Record (3-0) Remain unbeaten as the Thunder try to become the 1st team to win back to back GDFL National Championships



  

#2 Alabama Sabers Record (3-0) Still unbeaten, a playoff caliber franchise over the past few years looking to stay on track and get over the hump and make a GDFL Championship appearance  



#3 Chattanooga Eagles Record (4-0) Preseason unranked, a franchise under the radar but on a mission - Undefeated so far this season with impressive victories  




#4 Missouri Cyclones Record (4-0) Preseason unranked, look for the Cyclones to make a deep playoff run and possible a GDFL Championship appearance  



#5 Huntsville Rockets Record (3-0) Preseason unranked, look for the Rockets to make a major splash as 2017 contenders for the GDFL Championship 



 #6 North Mississippi Road Warriors Record (3-1) Road Warriors open the season with a statement victory and still on track to be the surprise team of 2017


 

#7 Starkville Steeldogs  Record (3-1) Steeldogs a team on the rise  look to rebound from a divisional lost but they have already showcased impressive victories over Lee County Ticats & Madison Generals



 #8 River City Pythons  Record (2-0) Pythons a team on the rise with a major victory over a then ranked #10 Georgia Knights & a Divisional opponent Madison Generals

#9 Tri-City Outlaws Record (2-1) Outlaws a team on the rise with a solid foundation over the past few years to now make a push for the playoffs 



 #10 Georgia Crush Record (2-2) Crush are having a up and down season so far but they are still serious contender and will get back on track with time.
