GDFL selects New Commissioner Khalid Bey

Memphis,Tennessee-We are delighted to announce the appointment of Khalid Bey as our new Commissioner of the Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Khalid brings a wealth of experience and a passion for empowerment that will undoubtedly elevate our league to new heights.

With a diverse background as an author, public speaker, business owner, and former elected official for the City of Syracuse, Khalid Bey embodies the spirit of leadership and community engagement. His dedication to empowering others aligns perfectly with the values of the GDFL, and we are thrilled to have him at the helm.

Khalid's previous ownership of the Syracuse Strong, the 2022 GDFL National Champions, speaks volumes about his understanding of the game and commitment to excellence. His business acumen will undoubtedly contribute to the strategic growth and success of our league.

As Khalid assumes his role as Commissioner, he will be supported by our dedicated team of Area Directors who share our vision for the future of the GDFL. Together, they will work tirelessly to ensure that our league continues to thrive and provide opportunities for athletes to excel on and off the field. Khalid will step into office the week of March 18, 2023. Please allow him the time to meet with his staff and league leadership to prepare for his new role.
