GDFL Announces Huntsville, Alabama as Host City for Gridiron Bowl XVI

National Championship Game Set for September 7, 2025

HUNTSVILLE, AL —The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) has officially announced that Huntsville, Alabama will host Gridiron Bowl XVI, the league’s 2025 National Championship Game. The event will take place on September 7,2026 and will crown the next national champion at the conclusion of an electrifying season.

Gridiron Bowl XVI will bring together the winners of the league’s two semifinal matchups:

    •    Arkansas Punishers vs. Tennessee Vikings in North Little Rock, Arkansas

    •    Tri-City Outlaws vs. Huntsville Rockets in Clarksville, Tennessee

The winners will meet in Huntsville with the GDFL’s ultimate prize on the line.

A Historic Host City

Huntsville’s selection carries added significance. Known for its passionate sports culture and community pride, the Rocket City is a fitting stage for one of the league’s biggest games.
