GDFL New York Crusaders Looking to Make an Impact in the GDFL

by GDFL Media

Brooklyn,NY-As the New York Crusaders enter their 10th storied year of operation, they have decided to do something special, enter the biggest and best national league around, the GDFL! Swords Up! That’s the mantra for the Crusaders, an organization based in Brooklyn, New York, once called the Bedford Stuyvesant Crusaders.

As a 10-year-old program deeply rooted in community and providing resources to its athletes on and off the field, the Crusaders have been known to dive deep with kids programs, combines, college tours, and even being locally civically and politically engaged. Game days are nothing short of a college football Saturday with their own dance team and drum line.

The mission has been to give guys, younger and older, a college football themed experience."We feel we are one of most community minded and resource driven programs in the nation, and now with a national partner in the GDFL behind us we can increase our scope” said Founder Tywan Anthony.

Along with Tywan, the Crusaders have a great front office including staff members Ori Isaacs, David Williams, Brian Peterkin, Jeff Wells, Nadja Galloway and Althea McDonald along with an amazing group of coaches. “It’s the back office that makes the engine move forward” stated Tywan Anthony.

Entering the GDFL the Crusaders know the competition will be intense. The focus will be on recruiting both players, coaches, and staff members that want to compete at the highest level of football and business. The Crusaders are excited as some of their long-standing players have expressed immense excitement at the opportunity to play against nationally ranked teams. With a Crusaders and GDFL partnership, this will continue to give local guys the opportunity to play professionally and collegiately.

The Crusaders have had past success with athletes going to college and earning a degree. In addition, this will help the organization create a bigger community impact.

Look for this organization to make a huge splash in the Northeast with the GDFL as its partner league! Swords Up!
