GDFL Deloney headed to Danger

Chattanooga,Tn-The Gridiron Development Football League (GDFL) would like to congratulate Chris Deloney Jr on his signing to play with the Nebraska Danger of the Indoor football league (IFL). 

Chris will be in good company joining the likes of elite athletes from all over the country. Athletes from The University of Tennessee, Florida State University, Florida Atlantic, Texas Tech University, and many more! 

The GDFL remains the #1 Professional Developmental Football League in the country as we have prepared an incredible amount of elite players for next level opportunities and financial gain. This makes the organization a hotbed for opportunities with larger leagues like the NFL, CFL and Arena to recruit top notch athletes.

CJ Deloney was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Howard High School where he was a standout athlete in both football and basketball. After graduating, CJ continued his playing career at Tennessee State University and majored in Architectural Engineering. He earned Dean's List Honors with a 3.6 GPA.

After his college career, CJ moved back to Chattanooga with his daughter and began playing for Coach Hayden Clark and the Chattanooga Eagles. CJ was a standout WR for the Chattanooga Eagles and helped lead them to a Conference Championship, as well as a National Championship appearance in the organizations first year of existence. In the 2017 season, CJ lead the Eagles in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.

CJ is looking forward to the next chapter of his playing career with the Nebraska Danger. CJ says, "This organization means the world to me, and I cannot be more proud of what we accomplished. I want to give a major thank you to the GDFL and everything they stand for."

Coach Hayden Clark says, "CJ is one of those guys that makes you enjoy coming to work every day. He's one of those guys that makes the job easy. He's coachable, he's a leader, and most of all, he's a great person. We always preach to our guys about growing together as a unit and be better men. What we do on the football field will fade, the record will be broken. Legacy is major in our program, and being a great father/man is our number one priority. CJ has all of those. We are really going to miss this guy, but I cannot wait to see him at the next level."

We are very proud of CJ for all the hard work he has put in. It was an honor to have him apart of our organization. We look forward to seeing him play! CONGRATULATIONS CJ!
