Entering the matchup, the Silverbacks were still searching for their first win since transitioning from 8-man football, while the Outlaws arrived with a 4-1 record and a reputation for dominance. Oddsmakers listed the Outlaws as 21.5-point favorites, and the visiting squad traveled without several key players — confident they could still secure the victory.
