Mid-South Brawlers Announced as First Team to Join GDFL Spring Season

Memphis, TN – The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) proudly announces the return of one of its most accomplished programs. Formerly known as the Mississippi Brawlers, the team has rebranded as the Mid-South Brawlers and will officially compete in the upcoming GDFL Spring season.

The Brawlers bring a proven championship pedigree to the league, having captured three National League of Football Association (NLFA) titles. With their eyes set on a new goal, the team looks to add a GDFL National Championship to their legacy.

“We are excited to begin this new chapter with the GDFL,” said Jameson Lawrence, Owner and Operator of the Mid-South Brawlers. “The league offers a strong structure and a high level of competition, and we look forward to meeting that challenge. Today marks a new day for Brawlers football, and we are proud to return to our roots as we build toward the future.”

The Brawlers are the first official team to join the GDFL Spring season, marking a historic milestone for both the team and the league. Their return underscores the GDFL’s commitment to expanding opportunities for elite developmental football while continuing to deliver competitive, community-driven programs.
