Former Five-Time Champion Missouri Cyclones join GDFL

Washington, Missouri-Commissioner for the Gridiron Development Football League (GDFL) Delvin Richardson has announced that the GDFL League is expanding and has added the Missouri Cyclones. In a statement made today, Team President Brian Hodge announced his intentions to have the Missouri Cyclones join the Gridiron Development Football League for the upcoming 2017 season and beyond. The team, based out of Washington, Missouri.

“We are excited to be joining the Gridiron Development Football League (GDFL) a league,that offers the best brand recognition and support system to grow our team moving forward.,” stated Hodge. “Our fans & players deserve to see competition at its highest level”.

The Missouri Cyclones Football Club was founded in 2001 and is entering their 16th season as an organization. Over the years they have seen multiple changes as they have progressed tremendously each season. Posting an 123-25 all-time record, with nine divisional titles ('04, '05, '06, '08, '09, '10, '11, 12',14'), five conference titles ('06, '08, '09, '11, 12'), and five league titles (MLFA 06, 07) (GMFL '08, '09, '11). They also earned the opportunity to play in two National Championship games, falling just short to the West Virginia Lightning 15-18 in 2008, and then again to the Nashville Storm 13-18 in 2011. 

“We are excited to add as high-caliber of team as the Missouri Cyclones to the league”, stated Charles Thompson GDFL . “We know entering their sixteenth season that they will put a top notch organization on the field while also being a model team to emulate off the field. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the GDFL”.
