Erie Express Routs Smash 58-0

Erie,Pa- Erie Express move to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the GDFL after today's 58-0 victory over the West Virginia Smash.

Jansen Jones took the opening kickoff back 87yds for a TD to start the scoring. Noah Ackerman added the extra point to make it 7-0. Brandon Hanna then connected with Moe Williams for a 13yd TD with Jeremy Ditzler adding the extra point to make it 14-0.

 Tim McCullum grabbed a Smash punt at the 7yd line and ran it in for a score with Ackerman adding the point after making it 21-0. Bud Brown found the endzone from 41yds out, Ditzler kick, taking it to 28-0. Hanna then connected with Javon Rowan for a pair of TD's 72 and 89yds, Ditzler and Ackerman kick, 42-0. 

Hanna hit Terry Jackson on a 29yd strike, Ditzler kick, making it 49-0. Moe Williams added the final touchdown on a 53yd punt return with Ackerman adding the XP. The Express scored a safety when a Smash punt hit at the 10 and rolled backwards through the endzone to bring the final score to 58-0.

Defensively for the Express sacks were recorded by Jake Johnson (4), Dajuan Smith (2), Glen Conner, Daryk Maki and Devion Coleman. Brandon Akins added an INT. The rest of the defense played lights out as the scoreboard indicates.

The Express are on the road next week as we take on the Buffalo Spartans in week two of GDFL play.
