Morristown, TN – The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) is proud to welcome its newest franchise: the East Tennessee Vipers, based right here in Morristown. The Vipers are ready to bring competitive, hard-hitting football to Hamblen County—one of Tennessee’s fastest-growing communities.

This new team is about more than just football. It’s about giving local athletes a platform, energizing fans, and strengthening community ties. For players whose high school or college careers have ended but whose passion for the game hasn’t, the Vipers offer a chance to keep the dream alive. They’ll provide game film, exposure, and high-level competition that can open doors to future opportunities.

Morristown’s recent economic and population boom makes it the perfect home for a semi-pro football team. As the city expands, so does the hunger for homegrown sports entertainment. The Vipers plan to deliver with an exciting, family-friendly game day experience—and a commitment to being an active part of the community.

From the field to local outreach, the East Tennessee Vipers aim to be a source of pride for Morristown and all of East Tennessee, joining the region’s rich athletic tradition and adding to its diverse sports landscape.

The Vipers aren’t just launching a season—they’re starting a movement.
