Denco Spades Join GDFL

Denver,CO-The Gridiron Developmental Football League is proud to announce the addition of the 2015 American Developmental Football League Champions,The Denco Spades as the newest member of the GDFL aka "The League of Champions for the 2020 season and beyond. The Denco Spades are headquartered out of Denver,Colorado.

Founded in 2015 by owner Deymion Sands the Denco Spades started playing in the ADFL where they became the first ever 1st year franchise team to win the league championship.
Their second season in 2016 they followed up by playing in the first ever Colorado State championship game against the Nationally ranked Colorado Greyhawks. After losing in the state title game the Denco Spades enter the 2017 season the Spades went 8-2 losing in the semi-finals.

The Denco Spades finished the 2018 season with a 8-1 record, and were competitive for much of the season until the bottom fell out losing to The Grand Junction Gladiators in the CFA championship game.For the third year in a row, Denco Spades was denied a Championship in spite of knocking at the door.“Winning is a big, big deal for us,” Denco Spades Head Coach Cecil Robinson told Gridiron Media.

 “Winning and community.That is coming from the ownership, as well. We have got to get more competitive and we have to be a fixture in the community and actually contribute to our community. The Spades team was organized to be involved because that is why we are here. Minor-league sports is to develop talent, but it is also goes arm and arm with the community, as well as being active, we call it Making an Impact.”- Deymion Sands.

In their 3 year history the Denco Spades they went 22-4 the Spades took 2019 off to restructure their organization and are excited about moving into the premier league in the country the GDFL. 

“It is an honor to welcome the Denco Spades to the GDFL”, stated GDFL Commissioner Bo Townsend. “They have a great market, an excellent business strategy, and are helping us expand our footprint for the 2020 season. We know they will come to compete, but more importantly they share our values of building up the communities in which we serve.”

 With the inclusion of the Denco Spades organization, the GDFL continues to prepare the 2020 schedule and it will be released in the coming weeks.
