David Goodson, Sign with Oklahoma Outlaws

Enid,Ok– The Oklahoma Outlaws (GDFL) announced today that Kicker David "Legatron" Goodson K/P. "GOODY" signed with the first year Oklahoma Outlaws of Enid, Oklahoma. This is his sixth season as a member of Gridiron Developmental Football League and his first year with the Oklahoma Outlaws. 

David Goodson stated,"I want to thank the Oklahoma Outlaws for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to continue my career in the GDFL and for a chance to compete for another National Championship !  A new team, a new organization, but same goal and that is to win another National Championship.The Oklahoma Thunder is a great organization and I'm very thankful for the opportunity that they gave me and thankful for everything they have done for me. 

Goodson (6’4”, 240) spent the 2017 season with the 2017 National Champions Oklahoma Thunder where he led the league in special team scoring (53) points 2017 (325 career points), PATs made (44) 2017 (205 career points), field goals made (3) 2017 (40 career points), and point per game (4.81) 2017 (5.9 career avg.).

 David holds 3 records on 3 different teams for the longest field goal in league history.A GDFL record of 56 yards. During the regular season,Goodson was named Special Teams Player of the Week three times and was awarded  The GDFL All-Pro which makes him a 5x GDFL ALL-PRO and 2X Special Teams Player of the Year. 

Prior to the Thunder, Goodson played for the Oklahoma City Bounty Hunters and  Oklahoma City Diamond Backs both of which he helped elevate to being top rated teams in the country.

Goodson started his college career at University of Central Oklahoma.Goodson is a native of Edmond, Oklahoma and attended Northwest Classen High School where he competed in lettered in baseball.
