Carolina Lightning Join the GDFL

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC — The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) has officially welcomed its newest franchise: the Carolina Lightning. Based in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, the Lightning bring fresh energy, ambition, and talent to one of the nation’s top developmental football stages.

Wearing bold red, silver, and white, the Lightning are determined to make their mark both on the field and in the community.

General Manager Donte’ Owens-Bey leads the charge.

“For years we have seen the best of the best play in the GDFL, one of the biggest stages in our sport,” said Owens-Bey. “As we build here in South Carolina, we want to put Williamsburg County on the national map. We’re ready!”

The GDFL continues to expand its national footprint, and with the addition of the Carolina Lightning, fans can expect fierce competition and top-tier talent representing the Palmetto State.
