Capital City Bison Join the GDFL!
Austin, TX — The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) proudly announces that the Capital City Bison have officially joined the league’s Summer Session beginning in 2026.
Entering their 11th season, the Bison have built a reputation for consistent success and professionalism, establishing themselves as one of Texas’ most respected pro-developmental programs. Under the leadership of Founder and Owner Louis Brown, the organization is set to compete on a national stage against the best developmental football programs in the country.
“Our program combines practices, games, and film study to help our athletes develop their skill as players and provides them with a platform for advancement,” said Brown. “The GDFL gives us the opportunity to provide our players with national exposure and competitive opportunities that will shape us into a national powerhouse.”
The Bison, a proven playoff contender, finished their 2025 campaign with a 6-4 record and now look ahead to the challenges and opportunities that await in the upcoming season.
The addition of the Capital City Bison continues the GDFL’s expansion into key markets across the country — strengthening its mission of showcasing elite developmental talent and building the premier national platform for post-collegiate football.
