Bobcats take down Goldenhawks

by GDFL Media

The Steel City Bobcats get their long awaited revenge  by defeating the Greensburg Goldenhawks by a score of 22-0 in game 2 that moves them ahead of the Goldenhawks in divisional play. The Bobcats looked like a team who has finally found their identity with key contributions on offense from Rim Brown, Ray Butler, Dre Meades, and Shaun Martin.

"The offensive line struggled early on, in the first half of the season, but has improved over the last few weeks and a big part of that is Andrew Alexander the anchor of the line", stated Head Coach, Darren Jackson.  Kicker Emmanuel Apea had a stellar game pinning the Goldenhawks deep in their own territory leading to a safety and several deep kick-offs.

The “Hellcats” defense played lights out forcing several turnovers and multiple plays for a lose. This was a signature game for Head Coach Darren Jackson who is also the offensive coordinator he seemed to be pushing all the right buttons with the help from the entire coaching staff, taking care of all three phases of the game.

"Overall it was a good win, still some small hiccups to fix and some discipline issues but the team seems to finally be growing together as one unit," said Owner Ray Ager.  Next week the Bobcats face an extremely tall task against the division leading Western Pennsylvania Wildcatz at Valley High School.
