BOBCATS FALL SHORT AGAINST BUCS

by GDFL MEDIA

It was a beautiful day for football in North Strabane Township home of the Pittsburgh Bucs. The game was a long awaited match up especially after the back and forth on social media. The game lived up to the hype for the most part except for some extremely questionable calls that led to one player breaking his fibula.

(Deon Ellis scores on a punt return. Photo credit https://www.hyxposure.photography/).After giving up a punt return for a TD the momentum seemed to have went into the Bucs favor after that. It was kind of like every time to Bobcats defense would make a stop they’d somehow find their way back on the field. (Shamon Walker Bobcats QB has a long day throwing 5ints) The offense literally appeared to be on different wave link and that bit the Bobcats in the butt when they did finally start to click. Shamon Walker eventually hooked up with Shaun Martin to put the Bobcats on the board with a very impressive pass and catch for the their only touchdown of the game.

(Shaun Martin Scoring the organization first regular season TD) The defense was clearly a major bright spot in the 18-7 lose not giving up 100 yards on the ground and 1 int and not over 140 yards passing so that’s something to hang their hat on. Overall it was a sloppy game with both teams offenses not looking the greatest the Bucs just had more splash plays and the Bobcats with around 400 yards in penalties including 4 15 personal foul calls. Next game will be against the 1-0 Greensburg Goldenhawks at 7pm June 19th in Brentwood.
