Inglewood stays unbeaten with 52-6 win over San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Inglewood Blackhawks used a 30 point second half to run away with a 52-6 victory over the host San Diego Silverbacks Saturday afternoon at Vic Player Stadium. The Blackhawks started off slow but eventually got the wheels turning when QB Jimmy Do found WR Brian Flowers Jr. down the seem for a 28 yard touchdown.

Flowers, who is a defensive starter played on both sides of the ball accounting for 109 all-purpose yards with 39 of those coming on a beautiful run up the middle in the third quarter. QB Jimmy DO continues to play at a MVP type level was 14 of 28 for 214 yards 3 TD's and 1 INT. He also rushed for 43 yards. 

His other two touchdowns went to WR Tony Parham (4 rec. 38 yards 1 TD) and WR Justin Sydney (3 rec. 39 yards 1 TD). RB Trae bickham continues to impress wherever he is on the field as he accounted for 12 points by himself while rushing for 53 yards on only 4 carries. He also played on the defensive side of the ball where he was in 4 tackles. 

Defensively the Blackhawks were led by defensive lineman David Robins who was a menace on the field causing havoc for the San Diego offense. Robins had 6 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks, and 1 Fumble recovery. His play earned him the Blackhawk Defensive Player of the Week. "If David continues to play like that he will definitely be in the running for the leagues defensive MVP", stated Defensive Coach Tim Lane. 

The Blackhawks defense sacked the San Diego QB six times while intercepting three passes. One was returned for a touchdown by DB Donyae Coleman on the first play of the second half.Notable players on defense were DE Jeff Bradley (5 tackles 3 TFL, and 2 sacks), LB Chris Fuifui (5 tackles 2 TFL, and 2 Pass Break-ups), DE Kenny Ware (4 tackles 2 TFL), and DB Donte Turner (3 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, and 1 INT). Ware, Flowers, and Paul Robertson all blocked kicks with one leading to an Emoni Washington 30 yard return for a touchdown to start the opening of the flood gates. 

Inglewood moved to 3-0 on the season and will travel to Las Vegas this Saturday, June 18 Kickoff is @5:00 pm .
