Blackhawks route Arizona 46-14 in GDFL Play
LOS ANGELES, Calif-- Inglewood jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the #6 ranked team in the nation, the Arizona Roadrunners by the score of 46-14 Saturday night. QB Wooda Armstrong playing in his first action of the season had an absolute awesome game going 15 of 22 for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns. Armstrong had passing strikes to TE Tre Thompson, WR, Zach Fields, and WR Vincent Strange Jr. Strange had 4 receptions for 102 yards and 1 touchdown which earned him the Gumbo Boys Offensive Player of the Game. His 66 yard touchdown early in the game opened up the flood gates for Inglewood to dominate the game.
WR Terrell Bowie II had a dominate game receiving hauling in 4 receptions for 63 yards. The Blackhawk offense moved the ball at will which ultimately caused issues for the Roadrunners "Every time we got a first down or big play, we noticed them getting frustrated with each other" stated WR Justin Sydney.
The Blackhawk defense continues to show why they are one of the best units in America as harassed Arizona's quarterback all night long. Led by LB Devin Jones (8 tackles) and DE Kache Palacio (5 tackles 3 TFL, 3 sacks, 2 PD), it was hard for Arizona to get into any type of groove. In the past two games, Palacio has 10 tackles, 6 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF, and 2 Pass Defenses. DB Curtis Chatmon had 2 interceptions while DB Darius Barlowe Sr. had two interceptions, one a 70 pick six.
