BALTIMORE LIGHTNING SHOCKS #5 CLEVELAND RAMS IN UPSET IN OHIO
Cleveland,OH-The Baltimore Lightning (2-0) traveled to Cleveland, Ohio with one mission, BEAT THE RAMS. And the Bolts did just that in a thrilling 14-12 victory.
Cleveland would score in the opening drive of the game and looked like it would be a long day for the Lightning. But the Lightning defense would stiffen after that series.
The score was 6-0 at halftime and the Lightning would come out on fire. Quarterback TERRON PAGE would continue his dominance going 6/9 for 180 yards and added 85 yards rushing. Page connected with phenom receiver WILL FEDD for a 60 yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 6-6 and added a two point conversion to take an 8-6 lead in the 3rd.
The story of the game was the Lightning run game led by running back JUSTIN SPENCE who finished with 10 carries for 108 yards. Running back RASHARD DENDY added 70 yards on the ground including a 40 yard dash to put the Lightning in scoring position.
In the 4th quarter, Page would drop a perfect 60 yard back shoulder throw to Fedd to put the Lightning at the 2 yard line. Page would then run the 2 yard touchdown on a quarterback keeper. The Bolts would miss the 2 point conversion.
14-6 Lightning.
The Rams wouldn’t go away quietly. The Ram quarterback would run a 25 yard scamper to the end zone making the score 14-12. The tying two point conversion pass was broken up by Safety KADEEM BAILEY.
The Lightning defense stifled the Rams offense for 3 quarters and would hold its “bend but don’t break” philosophy.

“Beating the fifth ranked team in the country on their home field was big for us. Now, we got the #1 team in the country and defending champs coming to Baltimore next week, we’ll welcome them accordingly. We respect them, but we’re definitely not afraid of anybody. We’ve shown that.” -Lightning GM/Head Coach Will Hanna.
