Game of the Week

There’s a storm brewing in the Pacific Northwest. So get your popcorn ready for this grudge match. As the 2-0 Tacoma Sabers travel to Mt Tahoma Stadium to face the 2-0 West Sound Rebels. Someone’s 0 has got to go!

The home Rebels are coming off a convincing 45-3 victory over the Everett Royals, while the Sabers will be well rested coming off a bye week. Looks like the weather will cooperate for a second straight weekend.

Both teams have the ability to move the ball well on the ground or through the air. This game will be decided by who takes care of the ball best. Watch for Special Teams to also be a key contributor to who the victor will be.

Look for the Rebels to feature Tyquan Bowie again in the backfield who had a monster statistical game last week. Also be on the watch for Jacob JT Taase to showcase his arm rocket while targeting a variety of weapons at the WR&TE positions.

The Rebels Defense will look to stay hot with their incredible ability to put pressure on the QB, which sets up their linebackers to feast on anything over the middle. And keep your eye on Kodi Martinez (GDFL INT leader 5) to continue his streak of being an absolute ball hawk.

So get on out to Mt Tahoma at 6 pm Saturday 6/18, and enjoy what should be one heck of a contest between two undefeated teams.
