Arizona RoadRunners on Fire,holds Las Vegas Saints Scoreless at Home
Las Vegas,NV-Even in the 112 degree Las Vegas heat, the Roadrunners can’t be beat. Your Arizona Roadrunners return home today with the W against the Las Vegas Saints, winning 28-0. Roadrunners Quarterback, Kordell Provchy, led the offense in scoring 4 touchdowns and the defense stepped up by scoring a safety in the first half.
An onside kick from the Saints at kickoff started the Roadrunners halfway up the field and the first touchdown came shortly after starting the game at 7-0. Gary Wells stepped up on defense to land the team 2 points on a safety early in the second quarter. Another touchdown and successful PAT from the Roadrunner’s kicked, Stefan Speno, had the Roadrunners heading into halftime leading 16-0.
The Arizona Roadrunners came in hot in the second half, scoring another two touchdowns to bring the final score to 28-0. The refs called the game last night with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. After a strong hit from Cortez Norris on the Roadrunner’s defense, tensions were high on Vegas’ sidelines. With the hit and the score where it was the refs’ decided that it was safer to call the game and send our boys home with an early W.

Rob Jones, offensive coordinator, expressed in a post game interview that the Roadrunners are trying to create a family friendly environment for the community to utilize and enjoy.
