#7Knoxville Grizzlies forfeits Win to #5 Tri-City Outlaws due to rule Violation

Memphis,Tennessee-Game of the Week ends with an unexpected twist. #7 Knoxville Grizzlies football team will forfeit Saturday’s June 8th game because of several league violations. Knoxville Grizzlies started the season by winning their first game of the regular season but their home game on Saturday will now count as a forfeit loss stated Chief operating officer Tracey Scott on Monday morning. 

Scott explained after we discovered several league violations we notified the team owner and an advised of the sanction.

The Knoxville Grizzlies defeated The Outlaws 12-8 but according to league bylaws and protocol standards the Grizzlies didn’t have the required officials needed to host a sanctioned game.

 GDFL Rules and Regulations: Officials –are as follows a minimum of 5 officials must be used for all League contests. The officials’ crew will consist of at least (5) NO MORE THAN 7 on field officials. Chain Gang and Clock Operator – are part of the game day operations.

Teams are required to report any violations to the league.
